Goshiki kotohime

Acer palmatum ‘Goshiki Kotohime’ is a rare and delightful dwarf Japanese maple, admired for its compact size, intricate foliage and ever‑changing colours. This charming variety produces small, deeply divided leaves that emerge in spring with vibrant shades of pink, red and orange, creating a striking burst of colour on a beautifully compact frame. As the season progresses, the leaves mature to fresh green before turning warm tones of gold, orange and soft red in autumn.

‘Goshiki Kotohime’ has a naturally dense, upright habit with layered branching that gives it a refined, bonsai‑like appearance. Perfect for small gardens, patios, rockeries or container displays, this miniature maple brings elegance and artistry to any space without requiring much room.

Hardy, slow‑growing and easy to care for, it thrives in partial shade with moist, well‑drained soil and benefits from protection from strong winds and hot afternoon sun.

Beautiful, compact and full of character, the Goshiki Kotohime Japanese Maple is a wonderful choice for collectors and gardeners looking for a standout miniature tree with exceptional seasonal interest.
